TOURNAMENT CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER
Unfortunately the Winterfest Pond Hockey Tournament for 2012 has been cancelled. Despite registering 14 adult teams and 4 high school teams, the tournament was unable to run due to poor ice conditions. The Arena/parks staff were unable to make the ice this year due to a number of factors, including the very mild winter conditions, rain, and poorly timed snowfalls. Bottom line the ice is not safe, and areas where the rink could have possibly been constructed were far too slushy on the surface for a suitable rink to be built. Apologies to all and big big thank you to our sponsors, Huronia Physiotherapy and Olympia Sports.
